Working with Cyrus Todiwala The Antonio Carluccio Foundation is supporting Zest Quest Asia. Motivating colleges to field student teams in a competition that highlights knowledge and technical skills in Asia’s exquisite and demanding culinary tradition. The winning team to be announced on 10th April 2026 will experience a trip to an as yet secret Asian destination.

First published in the late 1980s, this book has inspired countless foragers, food lovers and fungi fanatics around the world. Now, it returns with a brand new design, stunning photography, a heartfelt foreword by Giorgio Locatelli, and a special new section celebrating the work of The Antonio Carluccio Foundation.

This reissue is more than just a book. It’s a tribute to Antonio’s enduring love of mushrooms and his lifelong passion for sharing simple, honest food with the world.

The Antonio Carluccio Foundation is working with The Oxford Cultural Collective to enhance the impact and legacy of its annual scholarship programme.

Through the Carluccio Changemakers Programme, scholarship recipients work together to maximise the positive effect they are having on others and on society. This growing community of OCC scholars will harness the power of collaboration and collective action, to support a new generation of hospitality professionals.

This month Italian chef Danilo Cortellini brought the spirit of Italy to Ulster University for a memorable evening celebrating the culinary legacy of Antonio Carluccio, as part of The University’s Culinary Salon Series.

The Antonio Carluccio Foundation has played a vital role in supporting Ulster University’s outreach programme, inspiring over 600 pupils since its launch in 2020 to consider careers in hospitality and culinary arts, and to explore university as a viable path.

Antonio’s very great friend and co-conspirator in The Two Greedy Italians series, the amazing Gennaro Contaldo, releases his latest book, Gennaro’s Vedure, on 14th March.

Transforming the humble vegetable into wonderful superhero dishes defined by colour; red, green, yellow and more. The book is inspired of course by Gennaro’s Italian roots. Over 80 recipes and wonderful and vibrant photos champion the versatility of vegetables…We’ll be cooking from it and Antonio would have too.

Chef, Restaurateur, educationist, author and entrepreneur Cyrus Todiwala OBE will be speaking about his position as an environmental pioneer and The Antonio Carluccio Foundation will introduce a showing of Antonio Carluccio’s Six Seasons; filmed for Australia’s SBS TV and describing the lives of Aboriginal Australians from The Noongar tribe.

Starting in May 2023 as part of BBC’s Saturday Kitchen almost every episode of Antonio’s collaboration with the delightful Gennaro Contaldo is back on TV. The wonderful: “Two Greedy Italians”.

The Foundation is working with friends and supporters to deliver food supplies to people impacted by the war in Ukraine.

Our project has two elements. We have made two grants of £20,000 to World Central Kitchen who are on the ground setting up kitchens and cooking for displaced people in Ukraine and Poland and our friends Action Against Hunger who are working in Moldova.

We are also working to provide a direct aid delivery into the crisis area, combining our charitable platform with the energy and willingness of our wonderful supporters and raising another £40,000 for this project so far. Please support this work at www.justgiving.com
